Cute and Affordable Date Ideas For Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is almost here!

I was grocery shopping the other day and I found myself down the seasonal aisle, you know the one, it constantly rotates through each holiday all the while reminding you that you can’t forget that you need to get that special someone a giant 5 lb Ferrero Rocher nugget.

I swear that it was just New Years and I am utterly shaken at how fast this year is already flying by!

If you are as unprepared as I am for the big V-Day, don’t worry because I have some really nice affordable date ideas for you and your special someone to enjoy the Valentine’s Day holiday with.

Bike Ride To The Park

Depending on where you live, specifically in more urban and metropolitan areas, there are several companies that offer bike ridesharing programs. Here in Seattle, we have Lime and Jump both offer bikes at low prices starting at $1 to unlock and 5¢/min.

Just download the app, grab a bike and take a spin with your honey to the park and set up a nice picnic. It is a completely romantic and affordable activity that both of you will enjoy, just don’t forget the meat and cheese!

If you are in the Seattle area, check out these wonderful parks, and because we live in Seattle, don’t forget to check the weather!

Redbox And Chill

Who doesn’t love a good movie night? I know I really do and I love going to the movies but sometimes I really don’t feel like spending $50. So opt out of the box office and into your living room for a nice movie night in. You can even talk back to the screen as if you are in your own living room, which is really nice because you totally are!

Head over to Redbox and choose a movie you have been waiting to see and turn off the lights in your own home theater. Try out this amazing Peanut Butter and Caramel Popcorn recipe to really impress your date!

Bookstore Date

One of the most romantic dates that I will always cherish is the time my boyfriend took me to Barnes and Noble (I’m so sad most of them are gone now) and we perused the book aisles and each picked a book that we thought the other would enjoy!

It was a super sweet date because not only is it super thoughtful, but it is also fun and pretty intimate. You get to learn a little more about your date and vice versa.

After both of you have been gifted some great literature, treat yourselves to something sweet. I would recommend Molly Moon’s or Trophy Cupcakes.
